The Humdrum Toolkit

The Humdrum Toolkit is a suite of software tools for UNIX-like systems intended to assist in music research. The toolkit is suitable for use in a wide variety of computer-based musical tasks. Humdrum is no longer actively supported by the Cognitive and Systematic Musicology Laboratory.

About Humdrum

The official Humdrum website is no longer actively maintained. The most current Humdrum Resource is the CCARH Humdrum Toolkit Portal, hosted by the Center for Computer Assisted Research in the Humanities at Stanford University.  Also cropping up has been the Humdrum Wiki.

The most current versions of Humdrum can now be obtained from Pedro Kröger's GitHub repository. Older versions can be found at the now-deprecated CSML Humdrum Download site.

The most active and reliable source for Humdrum support is the **HUG: Humdrum User Group hosted by Google Groups.
