David Orvek   

David Orvek is a first year MA student in Music Theory and a Graduate Teaching Associate for the first-year music theory and aural training courses at The Ohio State University. His research interests deal primarily with tonality and harmony in late-Romantic and early-twentieth-century musics. Current projects include a study of non-tonal triadic progressions in the music of English composers like Charles Villiers Stanford and Ralph Vaughan Williams and an empirical/behavioral study of closural gestures in atonal music.
